MRC Expansion Featured in Experience Martin City

Midwest Recovery Centers has transformed the former Jack Stack banquet facility located at the intersection of 136th Street and Holmes Road into a comprehensive campus dedicated to addiction recovery treatment. This renovation completes their vision of offering a full range of services, including detox and residential care, right in Martin City.

The new facility consists of two modern buildings, each approximately 10,000 square feet in size. These buildings provide 20 private residential rooms for patients, state-of-the-art detox services, and a variety of community spaces. These community spaces feature a fully equipped kitchen, designated areas for recreation, and meeting rooms suitable for group therapy or activities. This expansion enables Midwest Recovery Centers to support individuals in crisis from the outset of their recovery process, eliminating the need to refer patients to hospital emergency rooms for urgent care.

History and Mission

Founded in 2016 by Kevin O’Grady, Jeff Howard, and Geffen Liberman, Midwest Recovery Centers has experienced significant growth over the years. Originally, they started with just two buildings near Fish Tech and have since become a vital part of Martin City’s healthcare scene. Their unique “Hometown Recovery” approach emphasizes keeping patients close to their families, jobs, and community support networks, rather than sending them to distant treatment centers.

The new campus preserves the nostalgic charm of the original Jack Stack location while creating a safe and welcoming environment conducive to recovery. The facility currently employs nearly 30 staff members and has plans to add outdoor recreation areas.

This expansion not only promotes economic growth within Martin City but also provides essential healthcare services to the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.

Finally, Midwest Recovery Centers continues to collaborate with local businesses and community organizations, reaffirming its commitment to being an integral part of Martin City’s ongoing revitalization and community development.
