Levels of Care Near Lawrence, KS

Midwest Recovery Centers provides a true continuum of care so clients can start where they need to and stay supported as they build stability.

Medical Detox & Residential Near Lawrence, KS (First 30 Days)

For many people, detox is the first step, especially when withdrawal risks, cravings, or relapse cycles create real safety concerns. Midwest Recovery Centers offers medically supervised detox for alcohol and drugs with 24/7 support to help manage withdrawal symptoms safely and more comfortably.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is offered during detox when clinically appropriate.

After detox, clients remain in residential care as they begin therapy and daily treatment programming. This stage includes evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, and DBT, along with experiential group work and holistic activities.

Transitional Recovery / Extended Care (Phase 1 & Phase 2) Near Lawrence, KS

Recovery rarely ends at 30 days, especially when co-occurring mental health symptoms, long-standing stressors, or repeated relapse patterns are involved. Our substance use track is designed as a three-phase model:

  • Detox & Residential (30 days)
  • Phase 1 (about 60 days, includes housing)
  • Phase 2 (up to 9 months, depending on need, includes housing)

Phase 1 and Phase 2 function like continuing inpatient support with structured, accountable, and clinically guided care while clients practice new skills in a consistent environment. Housing is part of both Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Community IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) Near Lawrence, KS

Community IOP is specifically for people who don’t want to, or aren’t able to, commit to the long-term housing component. It can also be a strong fit for those stepping down from higher levels of care who still want clinical structure and accountability.

Community IOP includes medical oversight and services such as:

  1. Medication management
  2. Psychiatric evaluations
  3. TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)
  4. LAI (Long-Acting Injectables)

Residential Mental Health Treatment Near Lawrence, KS

We provide mental health treatment options for clients who need either structured residential support or flexible outpatient care:

  • Residential Mental Health Program: structured 45-day program designed to treat primary mental health disorders
  • Outpatient mental health services: can be used as a starting point on their own or as continued care after residential treatment, depending on a client’s situation and goals

Clients in the Residential Mental Health Program receive individualized treatment tracks and a clinically supported environment focused on stabilization and long-term wellness.

Co-Occurring Disorders Support Near Lawrence, KS

Many people face both substance use and a mental health diagnosis. We treat co-occurring disorders in an integrated model, so psychiatric care, therapy, and recovery planning work together instead of competing for attention.
